I took to seeking intricate patterns in ice and the water that flows around it, during my frequent walks along various creeks, mainly in the Anchorage area. Generally the ice begins forming mid-October and changes in design daily throughout the winter especially when we have freeze and thaw cycles.Editing

Practice looking closely at the intricacies and details of nature that we can so quickly pass by while on an outdoor walk. Make it a meditation of sorts. It’s amazing what you can see by practicing a more discerning eye. The journey grows in pleasure exponentially.
