Location
This was taken at Kow Swamp, in northern Victoria, Australia.Time
It was taken just before sunset. The Swamp was about an hours drive from my home, down some dusty country roads, and afforded me many opportunities to get some really interesting sunset shots. I visited the Swamp a number of times, but mostly at sunset, to capture views like this!Lighting
No, as it was very early on in my days of using a new camera. I really had no idea of lighting or settings or anything. I’m very much an amateur, who enjoys taking photos. If I see something I like, it’s generally still very much a point and shoot and hope for the best hobby for me!Equipment
My camera was a gift to me, when my partner realised I was somewhat interested in taking photos, and that I apparently seemed to have a ‘good eye’ for photo taking! My camera is a Canon 70D, but I’m still struggling to understand the technical side of photography and the settings on my phone. I’m very much just an amateur, with a lovely camera, and sometimes have some luck with my photos! Previously, (and mostly still am) I was just using my i phone, and have a Facebook page, called “I spy with my little i”, where I like to show my endeavours.Inspiration
I was living in the country, and becoming interested in photography, but I can’t even really remember how I came to know of the place. It became a special place for me, because the scenery interested me so much, and sunsets there were just quite amazing.Editing
Mostly my only post processing is to crop, because I really have very little idea of editing. If I see what I like, I try and photograph it, and mostly what I show is just how it came out, by pointing and shooting, and sometimes experimenting with settings! In my camera bag
I own a Canon 70D camera, and my i phone. That’s my equipment!Feedback
Just go with your heart. If you see something you like, try and capture it, so others can enjoy it too. Don’t take it all too seriously unless you want to really make a career of your photography, because i phones these days, can pretty much give you an excellent photo all by yourself! Just have fun.
