The snowfall at the previous night made all the surroundings white and when I visited the monastery in the early morning, it was a striking contrast with white snow, black clouds, and the beautiful structure of the monastery. The striking contrast of the snow, cloud and the old monastery inspired me to take this image in black and white.Editing
In post-processing, I enhanced the black shade from the mountain and enhance the amount of light in the foreground. Then a bit of contrast adjustment and sharpening gave me the output what I was looking for.In my camera bag

Planning is very important in landscape photography. Knowing the location and timing are the key factors. One must understand, what kind of the light is expected at that location at a particular time of the day. And from which location the frame would be looking more interesting.
