I had recently seen Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl" painting & admired the lighting in it, so when I was doing a head shot for a client, I requested she stay another few minutes so I could take a portrait of her for myself. This was the result of rigging up a bed sheet on a light stand with a speed light on it so simulate a window in my windowless basement studio. IMG_4148
