Behind The Lens

Location

This picture was shot in Belfairs woods in Essex,it is a large golf course and country park surrounded by woods. The trees and woods is teaming with wildlife and is an animal conservation area. I spotted these two quite high up in a tall tree, they saw me a long time before I saw them and were watching my every move, so keeping still was a priority. the picture was shot on a Nikon D5100 ,d500 F9 1/115 at iso400 Sigma 150 - 500 26 ?January ?2016,

Time

This was shot early afternoon on a cold January.

Lighting

This ws shot just on ambient lighting

Equipment

Nikon D5100 ,d500 F9 1/115 at iso400 Sigma 150 - 500

Inspiration

i have a studio set up in my garage which was not usable due to flooding so had to get out as was going stir crazy with nothing to photograph.

Editing

the shot was slightly cropped and sharpened in photoshop

In my camera bag

D5100 Sigma 150-500 ,Nikon 18-55 standard lens,Tamron 75-200 Zoom. many other gadgets straps blowers and some filters.

Feedback

I think the art to good wildlife photography is patients, timing, know what your looking for and a bag of mixed nuts for the animals is always a bonus.
