Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Portugal near a town called Santarém. I had often thought about doing a picture in which the bridge appeared from within the fog. In the night before I checked out the weather and saw that in the next day the weather was favorable to the occurrence of fog, so by the morning, i was close to the river. What I was not expecting it to suddenly appear to me from inside the fog a lonely kayak :) In the end I think I can say that this photo was a combination of luck with a few hours of dedication and preparation.

Time

This is probably one of my favorite photos and was taken in January 26, 2016 at 9:37AM

Lighting

I wanted the light (and the fog) to be something mysterious and that could take a dramatic effect on the scene.

Equipment

This was shot on a Fujifilm FinePix S8600 in a tripod (Actually it is the only equipment I have)

Inspiration

What inspired me to take this picture was certainly other photos of some great photographers who have seen and followed closely in viewbug.

Editing

I do not remember well what I did in post-production, but I think I did not do much more than some adjustments in color temperature and light settings.

In my camera bag

Just a Fujifilm FinePix S8600 (i love it) a tripod, some cleaning equipment, extra batteries and a small bottle of water :)

Feedback

I have no advice in particular. Only to prepare the best possible few days before. It is crucial in this case to see the weather and know where's the sun at that time. Then is to wait for the magic to happen and enjoy the moment :)
