Leaning out of the carriage window of this vintage train allows you to feel the wind in your hair and the sooty smuts on your face, and to view the track as the train snakes round the bend, Health and Safety have now, quite rightly, vetoed this practice, but that just makes it all the more delicious and thrilling to do it when you get the chance to do as your forefathers did. You are, of course, expected to be responsible for your own safety!
