Location
I have played the flute for over 36 years and whenever I’ve searched for a stock photo of a flute, it’s either the whole instrument or from the head joint’s POV. I couldn’t find anything from the end joint POV, so decided to try shooting something myself while bored at home one day.Time
I took this in the middle of the afternoon in my kitchen where the natural light was the best.Lighting
Natural light is my favorite source to utilize. If taking photos in your house, get your subject close to a window but shoot from the perspective of the window.Equipment
Nikon D3300 and a Tamron 16-300 lens.Inspiration
I wanted to see my instrument from a different angel than what is usually portrayed in images online.Editing
No post-processing.In my camera bag
I currently use a Nikon d750 and my favorite lenses are both Tamron G2...the 24-70 and 70-200. I whip out my Nikon nifty fifty 1.4 for some portraits as well.Feedback
Keep trying and don’t be afraid to get close to your subject.
