I shoot Point Betsie Lighthouse a lot , but winter is my favorite. The cold wind blows over the break wall making the ice formations look magical. And in the winter there are a lot less people which is a big plus to a photographer. But the clouds took me there this day...Editing

Mid December - late Jan. is the best time to visit Point Betsie to get a image like this , Lake Michigan keeps Northern lower Michigan in the clouds pretty much those 2 months and the clouds add color to the already emerald water. Lake Michigan is a real gem as are all the Great Lakes...
