Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo in Langebaan. It's a beautiful little town on the west coast of South Africa.

Time

It was taken arround midday. While we were walking along the beach.

Lighting

Not really we just happened to be there at the right time for the position I wanted.

Equipment

I used an old Canon 1ds Mark ii with a 50mm EF Canon Prime Lens. And I didn't use a flash, because I don't like the look of it, it makes it look to unnatural.

Inspiration

So while we were walking alongside the beautiful beach of Langebaan, my friend started doing these handstands that I thought would look good in a photo so I asked him to teach my other two friends how to do that type of handstand, and then we came up with that whole setup.

Editing

No not really. Just did some basic color corrections.

In my camera bag

The basic camera equipment - Camera body (Canon 1ds Markii) - Normally just my 24-105mm Canon EF f/4.5 lens. But I also have a lot of abnormal stuff in my camera bag like for example tools, and skateboard parts.

Feedback

Just have fun with your camera and be creative. Always try to capture something in a way that you can't see with your eyes.
