Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on an old bridge spanning the Big Siojx River in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Time

This photo was taken on a very cold winter morning. I remember not being prepared at all, I saw the bridge and had to stop and take some photos.

Lighting

I didn't use any special lighting, I had the cloud covered sky, and my iPhone. I love that the lighting turned out to be so good that morning.

Equipment

This shot was taken by my iPhone 6s. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

It was a cold winter morning, and we had just gotten a fresh coat of snow. I had just taken my son to school, and saw this old bridge. I decided to stop and take some pictures, of the trees around it, because of how the snow was sticking to the trees. After walking around and taking some photos I went onto the bridge, and tried to find the most creative shot, and this turned out to be it!

Editing

I did do a little fine tuning using two editing apps on my phone. I used Bitpoem and Enlight to give it some final touches.

In my camera bag

I can't wait until the day I have a bag full of photography goodies, but right now I shoot with my iPhone 6s.

Feedback

I find that I take the most interesting photos while being spontaneous. Go out, and have fun. Don't stress out if something isn't working right, take a deep breath and find ways to work around it. Focus on the positives, be in the moment and have fun!
