Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Reflektor Club in Liege! I was playing with Aborted that night and I snapped at the opportunity (literally) to photograph their incredible stage presence.

Time

Fairly late at night!

Lighting

I really like shooting without a flash at gigs. You might not always be able to get the perfect shot but coming from the performers side loads of flashing lights are very distracting a lot of the time!

Equipment

This was just taken with a Nikon D3300 and a Nikkor 35mm 1.8!

Inspiration

I loved the bassists presence, he really put on a show. My photo doesn't do half the justice of it.

Editing

I did a small amount via lightroom, just minor tweaks really!

In my camera bag

Nikon D7200, 35mm 1.8, Tokina 11- 16mm 2.8 and a blackrapid strap.

Feedback

I like to keep my shutter speed fairly fast and personally I don't worry so much about higher ISO's especially for the sort of events I shoot.
