Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken while on holiday at Grape Bay Beach, Bermuda. It's one of my favourite places and when holidaying there I can often be found on the beach trying to capture the changing seascape

Time

This photo was taken in October 2015 at the end of a holiday. Filling time before an evening flight I took a last, mid morning walk on the beach as the weather closed in.

Lighting

No artificial lighting was involved in this shot, and the camera was set on automatic.

Equipment

It was taken with Canon Powershot SX60HS set on automatic

Inspiration

I was walking on the beach on the last day of our holiday, killing time before leaving for the airport and was watching the approaching bad weather. The clouds were sitting low on the horizon. The contrast between the dark grey of the clouds and the bright blue ocean struck me as worthy of recording.

Editing

No post processing at all this is just as nature intended

In my camera bag

I only use my Canon bridge camera which I bought because the integrated 65x optical zoom negates the need to carry additional lens. I had found that I always had the wrong lens on my SLR at the wrong time.

Feedback

Always carry your camera with you, you never know when a photo opportunity may present itself. Dn't be afraid to experiment with different angles.
