I stopped to enjoy the assorted Dahlia's after work one late summer afternoon and stumbled upon this beauty. It stood with it's rainbow brethren in solemn rows bordered with stone paths. It's varied shades of peach, orange, & yellow reminding me of the sun's rays.Lighting
The weather in Michigan is unpredictable at best, but I lucked out this particular day and got a perfectly sunny day. The sun granting perfect natural light and there wasn't a cloud in the sky to cast any shadows.Equipment
Because I wasn't expecting to take any pictures that day, I didn't have my "camera" camera with me. Thankfully my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone was able to step in in a pinch and get the shot.Inspiration
The simple beauty of the Dahlia inspired me to take the picture. It didn't have to be the biggest, brightest, or even the flashiest flower on the hill, but it still stood gracefully and proudly.Editing

After a small accident with my Kodak EasyShare Z981, I switched over to a Kodak PixPro AZ401. But I always keep my trusty Samsung S6 Phone camera on hand for emergencies.Feedback
Always carry a camera of some sort because you never know when there's an epic photo in the making. Sometimes the best shots surprise you when you're least expecting them.
