I was assertively approached by this gang of giant reed while walking along the Pedernales Falls trail in Johnson City, TX. I was not expecting such a threatening vibe from these tall fellows, but then I remembered their invasive behavior, and then it all made sense. The bullies of the river, one could call them. Stealing more environmental resources than they need, just for the heck of it. This photo captures the point of view of an innocent native shrub, just waiting to get taken advantage of by these no-good non-natives.
