St. Elmo is on the historical registry of the the State of Colorado. The town has been maintained by the Buena Vista Historical Society - Incorporated in 1880, the Stark family owned the Gen. Store. Several buildings remain and are owned by private parties. A great destination near Nathrop, CO. The town is at the eastern end of Tin Cup Pass (a very rugged 4-wheel drive road).
