Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken on one of my many hikes in the woods. This is a lower elevation hike because it was Fall.

Time

I always seem to enjoy the early mornings before most people are up especially if I'm hiking.

Lighting

Oh yes photography is all about lighting. If you don't have the right lighting your photo will look flat and un inviting.

Equipment

I have a Nikon D5300. I was using my telephoto lens that came with my camera Nikon 50-300mm. I've been trying to use my tripod but it seems to be hard for my I'm not good at staying in one spot for long.

Inspiration

I love mushrooms and moss, well pretty much anything nature has to offer. Most trail have something to offer sometimes its a waterfall other times it's a view of the mountain tops. This trail had mushrooms and lots of them.

Editing

I shoot every thing in RAW. I use photo shop.

In my camera bag

I carry three types of lens. My favorite is my Sigma wide angle lens wick is 10-20mm and I have a polarizing filter on that one then there's my Nikon 50mm and then my Nikon 55-300mm telephoto lens. I also have my big gun the 100-500mm which I think is also a Sigma but I only use that one on birds.

Feedback

Don't be afraid of getting down and dirty. I'm always on one nee or on my back or stomach. Make sure to take lots of photo's at different angles.
