Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken early morning on the South beach of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South-Africa. Just past UShaka Marine World towards the harbour.

Time

Early Morning with the sunrise as a perfect framer.

Lighting

Its all natural light caught on the right time.

Equipment

The image was captured on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Smartphone. I never leave home with it, because camera equipment isn't always available when life shows you a picture worth capturing.

Inspiration

I was on a "walk about" exploring the life of people living at the coast and what the ocean means for each person I encounter.

Editing

Only some colour correction and crop.

In my camera bag

Small tripod for phone and camera. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone and some coloured plastic sheets for sun filtering.

Feedback

Always be ready and snap away. In the age of digital technology there is more ways to store large amounts of photos. Try and look where nobody else will look and don't hesitate to make it your own. Its all what you like, and what story you tell.
