The photo was taken at a local nature preserve called Wakodohatchee Wetlands. It happens to be a family favorite place. My husband and I have been coming here for approximately 15 years and have been bringing our daughter age 9 since I was pregnant with her. I am always finding inspiration in nature.Time
My family and I arrived just as the sun was starting to set. This view took my breath away.Lighting
Mother natures' natural light works the best for this type of picture.Equipment
This picture was taken with my iphone 6S.Inspiration
I am always inspired by nature and find myself instantly captivated when I see perfect unison among the sky and the water. I have always been fascinated with reflections and find it to be a repeating theme for me. I always see a new perspective in the sky.Editing
I typically do not process my photos. I like them to be authentic. I have my B.S. in Graphic Arts and am highly skilled using Photoshop, but found over time that I like the photos raw. I am not attracted to over processed photos because they feel fake.In my camera bag
My iphone 6S is always in my purse so I am ready at anytime.Feedback
Find a nature preserve in your surrounding area or a place that has a lake or large pond. Try and go right before the sun is about to set. Go with an open-mind and love for nature in your heart and you are sure to capture something special.
