Mount Shuksan is located in North Cascades National Park the park on the western boundary of the northern section. This park is one of the only park in the US system that has no road access in to the park it's self. The Park is split in two non contiguous sections by US 20 which lay with in the Ross Lake National Recreational Area and and boarders the Northern and Southern sections of the Park. The only access into the park is by trail, preserving the wilderness of the area that is home to more Glaciers than anywhere else in the Lower 48 states combined. .
