Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. I enjoyed walking and looking at the boats.

Time

I got up that morning and decided that I wanted to go for a walk. This photo was captured later that morning.

Lighting

It was a very clear day. As I walked the path it wasn’t too cloudy or too sunny. The day light was just right. As I started to shoot and the birds flew above the light was perfect. The sky was clear and blue and the sun wasn’t a distraction.

Equipment

This shot was taken many years ago with my iPhone. It all happened so fast that I just took out my phone and started shooting.

Inspiration

There were birds everywhere. The path was very crowded that day with people. I noticed some great images that I could capture of the birds in the water and flying near people. A woman with a bike road through a group of birds and they all started to fly. Instinctively I started shooting and caught the birds above us with that beautiful blue sky. The photo wasn’t planned. The actions of the day, the people and the birds created a great photograph.

Editing

I didn’t do anything to the photo. What you see is what I captured.

In my camera bag

I usually have my Nikon with two lenses in my bag. It’s a great camera to capture everyday life with and get some amazing shots.
