Location
This photo was taken on one clod January morning in Boston. It had just begun snowing.Time
I love the contrast that snowfall creates in any given scenery. I took this photo while taking a stroll in the Boston Commons.Lighting
At the time I took this photo, I was influenced by film and black and white photography and loved creating images with high contrast. Here the low light due to the gloomy weather and the snow has perfectly aided in what I wanted to achieve.Equipment
I used a Nikon 7100 with kit lens- 18-105mm.Inspiration
It was the first snowfall I saw in my time in USA. It was purely magical to feel the snow pour down like enigma all over the place, covering and sheeting every inch it touched. Suddenly, the barren city and the gloomy weather turned into a fairyland covered in white. There wasn't the absence of colours anymore. It was all so beautiful in monochrome.Editing
I bumped the contrast even further in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I normally carry a bridge camera. Usually my Canon G1X.Feedback
Weather plays an important role in street photography. One must always take into consideration the lighting when stepping out.
