Behind The Lens

Location

I always have my camera with me...on a cold snowy winter day I was leaving my mother in laws and as I got in my truck I looked through their row of trees and saw the neighbors bird feeder with some Bluejays flying about.

Time

It was mid-afternoon and I just finished shoveling my mother in laws driveway and was ready to leave.

Lighting

The circular opening with the new fallen snow made way to the birdfeeder and the colors of the Bluejay made for a picture perfect momenti

Equipment

I always have my Canon SX50hs with me. I've always been pleased with its results.

Inspiration

I wasn't sure what I had till I uploaded to my computer. Wow...it looked like one of those scenes from a yearly calendar.

Editing

I very rarely do anything to my photos as far as enhancements of any kind...What I shoot is what you see.

In my camera bag

My Canon SX50sh is my goto... Then I have a Canon Rebel xsi with a 75-300 Zoom lens. I keep it simple and affordable.

Feedback

I love nature in general and I will take the time to see whats around me. I have my favorite areas that I visit on a regular basis but its usually those unexpected moment's that you need to be ready for... I've missed more than I captured for sure...
