This photo was taken on the bank of Jinji Lake at the back of the Crown Plaza hotel in the central part of Suzhou, Jiangsu, ChinaTime
It was taken early morning around 6am, I had been staying at the hotel and was watching the sun come up as I was having breakfast, on my last day I got up early and went down and waited for it to come up over the buildings in the distanceLighting
I cannot remember what settings this was taken with, I just wanted a shot of the sun coming over the buildings and shining across the lake.Equipment
This was shot on my basic Canon EOS 1100D with standard 18_55 lens, I used a tripod and remote to take the photo to reduce any movement.Inspiration
Watching the sun come up while eating breakfast in the hotel restaurant was a lovely start to the day, it wasn't visible every day but it was worth getting up early and taking the chance that it would be visible to take some shotsEditing
I used basic software to tweek the image, give it a more orange effect, but that's it really, I wanted a warm effect to the photo.In my camera bag
I use the Canon 1100D for holidays, I also have Canon 750D, have standard 18-55 lens, 55-250 lens and wide angle lens to.Feedback
Just photograph what you like, I love sunrise and sunsets, but I will take photos of anything really, I take 100's of photos but I may only get 1 or 2 shots I like, it used to irritate me, but I realise now not every shot is going to be a great one!! Just enjoy yourself and appreciate your surroundings .
