Hibiscus is a genus of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae, containing several hundred species that are native to warm-temperate, subtropical and tropical regions throughout the world. Noted for their showy flowers they are commonly known simply as hibiscus. This cultivar was taken at the Bungya Raya Island Resort on Gaya island in Sabah’s Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park in Borneo.
