I wish I shot this for my tree photography project. Absolutely gorgeous.

Location
This photo was taken near Zagreb, Croatia where I live. I was driving, having my camera with me, searching for something that would look good on a picture. Weather was friendly but cold, exciting and I wanted to take benefit of that.Time
It was late in the afternoon and foggy, landscape was not so exciting and I thought that the afternoon was wasted. I've stopped in a small valley when I saw those trees on a meadow. It was mid december, everything was frozen and cold and I went off the road to see if I could get some nice shot of those trees. When I did, at first it wasn't looking that extraordinary so I kept going on, took some other pictures and went home since it was getting dark.Lighting
It was mid december, cold, trees were white and covered with rime... It was getting dark and foggy but the light was soft....Equipment
I shot this picture with Nikon d700, lens was 24-70 2.8, no filters and shot from hand. (I think that polarizing filter was on (leftover from previous location), but, it had no impact on a photo in my opinion)Inspiration
I like shooting landscapes. Actually, that afternoon I went out for a drive and to try to take some nice pictures... the area was known to me, I knew what I should expect. I 'd like to make a library of basic photographs, like those trees, or clouds... etc., on which i could work later in PS and use then in my works later. When I came home, picture was solid but nothing extraordinary (especially in RAW in which I photograph all the time). I let it be for a while with intention to work on it later which I did.Editing
There was post processing in PS, actually, pretty much of it... I've added some stormy sky, reflection and worked on a drama...I like dramatic photos, stormy skies and stuff like that, so, I've tried it to look like that.In my camera bag
Well, it depends on occasion and intention. When I go to shoot intentionally I usually take most of my gear: Two cameras (d700 and d7100, 24-70, 12-24, 105 Macro and 70-300 or 150-600, flash, macro flash, tripod and a set of filters. But, when I go for simple walk, usually take d7100 and 18-200... rest of it is somewhere in between...Feedback
I usually look for objects that stand out of it's environment so that there is nothing that draws attention from it... Picture must have something that eye will be caught by... everything else results in an undefined and unattractive picture... Often, picture doesn't look so interesting, but, with post processing it comes out as exceptional. Post processing is something that is VERY important... There are zilions of pictures on the net that are just snapshots. In my opinion, not that much pictures look good without ANY post processing, therefore, you have to know the tool you're working with.
