On an Island in the middle of Zimbabwe's Lake Kariba, there are, among other animals, a herd of water-buffalo that have been stranded for 12 years. A locally living scotsman has committed to regularly feeding the buffalo a hearty mix of hay, flour, corn and molasses. Consequently, the buffalo have become gradually accustomed to human presence and this island is one of the only places in the world you can get so close to these wild animals, on foot, without being killed.

The feast doesn't just attract the buffalo. The were joined by a frenzied tribe of baboons and an enormous bull-elephant. They do not get along.
