Location
This photo was taken at a small native animal park near Brisbane, AustraliaTime
Time was about mid morning.Lighting
Just natural light used. Light rain had been falling and the air was humid, so very slightly foggy.Equipment
A Topcon Unirex SLR analogue camera was used. I think this was the best camera I ever owned. No tripod.Inspiration
We had travelled interstate for a relaxing holiday. We all loved the koala, named Judy and held her in our arms. They are such docile, trusting animals. We felt quite happy for the small children to interact with Judy. As Judy sat there, with my nephew, Jeff, it just appealed to me that it was a picture of such trust and of young Australians sharing happy friendship, with the gum trees as background.Editing
No, no post-processing. This was in the early 1970s and I was new to photography. The original shot was processed as a slide/transparency and this was converted to digital with a Pentax. In my camera bag
My old Topcon analogue camera, my brother's Pentax, a tripod.Feedback
Animal photography needs much patience.
