Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo just outside of my hometown London, Ontario, Canada.

Time

I took this photo right after a thunderstorm in the afternoon, around 2pm.

Lighting

The first thing people notice is the reflection of the trees on the river, I have never had a reflection like this ever since. It was perfect.

Equipment

I took this photo with the first camera I ever owned, a Nikon Coolpix L120 at 1/160, ISO 80, and f/8.7.

Inspiration

A friend and I were out for a drive when our car broke down and we were stranded for almost two hours waiting for help, that is when I found this spot. That is why I take my camera with me everywhere I go because you never know when you might get a good shot!

Editing

Yes, I boosted the greens and blues and added some clarity.

In my camera bag

In my bag I have a Nikon D3200 with a 18-55mm kit lens and a Nikkor 35mm 1.8G. Less is more for me, I like to keep it simple and easy.

Feedback

You really just have to walk along a river and wait for the water to be calm and the sun to be in the right position. Sunrise, sunset, or even mid-day, just have to be patient and it will come.
