Behind The Lens

Location

The main road through Thetford Forest in Suffolk, I parked up and waited for the traffic to disappear the threw myself down in the middle of the road!! Thankfully it's a good straight road so you can see/hear approaching cars! I

Time

Around lunchtime 1pm ish

Lighting

I wanted to draw the viewers eyes long the winding road framed by the beautiful trees, I have visited the area many times and knew a glorious sunny day would light up the leaves beautifully

Equipment

Niton D3200 AF-S 18 - 55 VR lense, no flash or tripod.

Inspiration

I was attending a basic photography course at Suffolk college and our homework was to take a picture of our favourite place.

Editing

Aah yes just a small amount of cropping and minor colour enhancement, the trees didn't need it they really are this beautiful in the autumn.

In my camera bag

My trusty Niton D3200 it's my first non point and shoot ( but can if need it) I'm a complete novice who needs all the help I can get. Then there's my hood, tripod, spare battery and memory card. I have other equipment but if I'm honest I dont really know what to do with it but I'm learning, very slowly admittedly but I'm getting there!

Feedback

Try to visit the area at different times of the day, to catch different light, less or more public/ wildlife. Don't just visit in good weather some of the best pictures I've took is in horrendous weather. Most of all go when you have the edge for that photography fix never just because you have to take a picture.
