When I took this shot I was just starting to experiment with light and dark, mixing shadows and harsh light. I love this shot because of the emphasis

Taken in the middle of winter, in the freezing cold. It was crisp, clear, and gorgeous.

Shooting on the beach at midday make for a super great image to edit. Black and light with a little red hue added.
