Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken in the home of this little musician.

Time

I was taken early evening and used the natural lighting from the front door.

Lighting

I only used the natural outside light that was shining through a single window.

Equipment

This was captured with a Nikon 1 J1 using a 10-30mm lens.

Inspiration

The father is a huge music buff and has experience playing the bass guitar. We decided to I corporate this in with his first son.

Editing

I did minor post processing capture the raw emotion by converting to a black and white image.

In my camera bag

I currently have a Canon in my bag though this waara taken with Nikon.

Feedback

Using natural light you have to get your time of day correct and also shift your subject to create the correct focus and shadows.
