A little background on this image. This guy was so patient, that I was able to set up the camera and compose the image. I then used a radio remote to fire the camera and at the same time I had a hand held flash that was also triggered by radio remote. I was able to move about 25 yards from the camera to the camera left and used the flash to fill in the right side of the heron. When I packed up to leave, the heron was still sitting there!
