In New South Wales, there are two government fire services, "Fire and Rescue NSW" and the "NSW Rural Fire Service". The NSW Rural Fire Service's firefighting base is entirely made up of volunteers, with 75,000 volunteers total across New South Wales! Making it the biggest volunteer fire service in the world. Firetrucks for the NSW Rural Fire Service are broken up into categories depending on their size and type, the most common being the "Category 1 Tanker" and the "Category 7 Tanker". This is a photo of the two trucks from the Davidson Brigade on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The Category 7 on the left and the much bigger Category 1 on the right. This Category 1 tanker was retired from service with the Davidson Brigade in January 2015 for a newer model truck.
