Love this - feels as though it is longing for the freedom to set sail.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Moriches Bay in Westhampton, NY

Time

I took this miniature glass blown ship in the bottle to play with shooting during sunset. Since the sky was not very interesting...no clouds so just golden hour light...I wanted a prop!

Lighting

Golden hour light on water is one of my favorite natural lights to shoot in.

Equipment

This image was shot hand holding my Canon SX520HS camera.

Inspiration

This location was one I would shoot frequently in summer and fall so I was always looking to change it up some especially at sunset.

Editing

Not really.

In my camera bag

Must have lens cleaning cloth and small LED flashlight to use to see my camera controls when shooting in the dark.

Feedback

Experiment with what you have on hand. Plan ahead to enhance your location and composition. Have fun and practice for different light and locations.
