This photo was taken on Lake St. Catherine, Wells, Vermont. My husband and I enjoy going on our small boat around the lake. We often see the Eagle flying around but he never lands where I can get a good photo.I was lucky enough to spot the eagle just sitting in the pine tree and was able to get a few shots of him.Time
We were riding around early afternoon, around 2 when he was just sitting in the tree.At one point he had his wings fanned out just drying in the sun.Lighting
As far as the lighting goes , it was a perfect day with the blue sky. I really just took my best shot with what I had.Equipment
I have a Nikon D80 , no other equipment was used. The lens I used is a sigma DC 18-250mm .I definitely need to upgrade my lens someday.I would love to get a nice close up , clear , detailed photo.Inspiration
We knew the eagle was around the lake, so I really wanted to get a photo of him. I am still waiting to get a better photo of him.Editing
I am still experiencing with the camera, just a novice but enjoy taking photos. This particular photo was cropped a few times as I zoomed in as much as I could before it got to look blurry. In my camera bag
I only have my Nikon D80 with my sigma DC lens 18-250 mmFeedback
Well , you definitely need to have patience, which was no problem for me at the time as we were enjoying the lake. Always have your camera ready in a flash, no pun intended.I have missed some great shots by not having my camera with me, so I try to bring it with me wherever I go .Most of all enjoy the beauty that surrounds you
