Behind The Lens

Location

Took this photo at my in laws. I feel I am best at macro shots than anything, so I decided to check out their garden to see what I could find. It had just rained so I was hoping to get some water droplets and I found some :)

Time

It was in the evening, right after a long day of storms.

Lighting

This picture I used flash. Just got up real close and made sure it was perfectly zoomed in and snapped it.

Equipment

Amazingly this was taken off my cellphone camera. I use my Nexus 5 to take most of my macro shots. The only thing I have taken with my big camera is the far far shots...like the moon. Other than that I just use flash and zoom on my cellphone and major patience :)

Inspiration

I have been wanting to take a water shot, especially a water drop. I couldn't get a water drop in action but many of these plant leaves had water droplets on them.

Editing

Nope, what you see is what I captured.

In my camera bag

I dont carry a bag, many of my picture taking is off my Nexus phone. I like the simplicity of it and swiftness of having my phone on me all the time.

Feedback

Just need patience and keep taking shots! I have taken 10 shots before I finally got the perfect one. Have to be as still as possible when you take pictures, especially when it comes to insects. Lighting is a major key also. Just keep trying the shot you want and you will get it.
