Behind The Lens

Location

Cocoa Beach Florida.

Time

It was early morning around 8:00am. It was taken right after I ate breakfast at our hotel and the family wanted to see the sunrise on the beach. Since it was in walking distance we went and saw this lovely view.

Lighting

This was shot in natural light without flash. The scenery was lit up very nicely so I didn't really use any crazy techniques.

Equipment

I actually used my phone for this shot. It was a virgin mobile Kyocera android.

Inspiration

I love capturing moments in time and I'm a huge fan of nature, water, and clouds so I didn't hesitate to capture this moment. It was definitely surreal and breathtaking standing by the water as it brushed over my feet sending me chills.

Editing

A little. I just brought up the brightness and contrast a little and I sharpened the overall image in Photoshop CS6 just so the water had more definition.

In my camera bag

I normally use a Canon Rebel T3i with my 50mm lens. I have a 18-55mm, 55-250mm, battery grip, external flash, ring light lens attachment, tripod, extra batteries, SD cards, chargers, and cleaning supplies.

Feedback

I would say look at the scenery your trying to capture and mentally frame it thinking about the crop of the image. Once you have the desired image in your mind snap it and enjoy it FOREVER!!!
