I was in Northwest Oregon during a dense fog, and couldn't even see the top of this 240-foot monolith on the Oregon Coast. After waiting an hour in cold weather, the fog began to lift, and I was lucky enough to get this image, complete with a kite flyer in front of magnificent Haystack Rock.
