Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Time

This was taken mid-day in the Orangutan area.

Lighting

The Orangutan was watching myself and a couple of other photographers. He was mimicking us review our shots and pretending to take pictures. He is a very smart creature and had quite the personality!

Equipment

No pod, Nikon and a basic Nikon telephoto lense.

Inspiration

His personality inspired me, I love going to see the great apes and wish we could interact more.

Editing

If any, very basic and minor changes to the color, contrast and high tones.

In my camera bag

I keep it light, batteries, a telephoto lense and extra memory cards.

Feedback

Wait, watch and take a lot of photos. I may take 20 or 30 pictures in a row of a subject at particular instance to try to get just that one outstanding photo. There is never a one shot and you got it. Take as many as you can and post production wisely it down to one or maybe even none at all.
