I love this. The web looks like very delicate lace.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo as I was about to go in a friends front door. It caught my attention out of the corner of my eye.

Time

Taken very early in the morning.

Lighting

I had to judge the angle carefully to get the spider web to show up in front of the tree in the background. Without the tree as a background the spiderweb disappeared against the sky.

Equipment

I only had my phone in my pocket so that's what I used. Samsung Galaxy S5

Inspiration

A rose with dew on it is always a beautiful photo and the spiderweb made it even more special.

Editing

No

In my camera bag

I'm a no frills photographer, my Pentax K7 , thats it ! No tripod, I lean on whatever there is for stabilty, take my shots with one click only, and hold my breath or between breaths if I have to. I'm very patient, you have to be when you only release the shutter once. These personal traits come from years of using Pentax film camera's and having to pay for every shot you take.

Feedback

The best advice I can give is to "notice the everyday in a different way". Nature puts it out there, you just need to see it. You have to be quick, nature doesn't wait, the sun sets fast, birds fly away. Be prepared, have intent and enjoy the moment, even if you miss it !
