Behind The Lens

Location

This image was taken in my home office as originally part of my "Negative Beauty" project.

Time

It was taken mid afternoon on 8th August 2014 so is quite an old image prior to the editing that has been done.

Lighting

The lighting used was a single Gemini 250r with a beauty dish.

Equipment

The equipment used was a Sony Alpha A900 and Tawton 28-75mm at 45mm

Inspiration

As I said in was one of a set produced for my Negative Beauty project but the model conveyed such emotion when I captured it I knew it needed to be created into something more than just a photograph

Editing

Yes and more! I started to run the image through a few filters and then created several layers/ layer masks and found some cracked/shattered glass photoshop brushes and placed them and manipulated some to the shape of the models face so not to look like they were plonked over a picture

In my camera bag

Sony Alpha A99ii and a Sigma 24-105mm lens nowadays

Feedback

Learn to use photoshop brushes and how to manipulate them to facial contours.
