Location
The photo was taken in the surrounding of a large shopping Mall called Bluewater in Kent UK. I took a ten week course in photography with a local college and try and get out with my camera every day. I am never without a camera.Time
This image has to be one of my favorites, I did not go out this day with the intention of taking photos in this area, I went to do Shopping, however, the beauty of the scene caught my breath and shopping was forgotten and the camera came out. I had no tripod so the camera was balanced on a wooden bridge that crosses the lake. It was a beautiful Autumn day and the colour of the trees was breathtaking, there was a sereneness that made the lake feel magical.Lighting
The lighting to take this photo was perfect. It was midday, the sun was coming through a perfect sky illuminating the trees to perfection. The stunning colour of the trees were enchanting made by the natural lighting and the sun seeping through.Equipment
This photo was shot with a Nikon D80 on the 30th November 2015. ISO 200 55mm f/5.6 1/80Inspiration
The beauty of the scene inspired me to take this photo. There were other scenes to take the Autumn colours however, this scene really caught my attention, I could feel the tranquilly all around me, and this is what I hoped to capture in the image. Once again I was so pleased that my camera goes with me everywhere otherwise this shot would not have been possible and it would have just remained in my mind.Editing
The only processing that I needed to do was to use a little saturation, all the other elements were there for the camera to see and capture. In my camera bag
The first item i check in my camera bag is a fully charged extra battery, I have been in the position when I have not checked my battery and had no extra ones, only to miss some awesome photo shots, never again. The lens that I use most is my zoom 300mm and I always carry my wide angle. I mainly shoot Landscapes at dusk or low light and use filters to enhance the sky, especially if it is a cloudy day. The filters create wonderful hues. Igive myself a task or project to do once a week. This maybe Landscape, portraits , street work , or studio work if the wether is not suitable. Photography is a window to the world and I try not to miss any window.Feedback
Landscapes sometimes need to be a planned event in order to capture a good light and balance of colour. If possible have filters to help create an atmosphere. For this type of photo a tripod is not necessary. be patient wait for the right moment for natural light. Always carry a camera whatever the size , make something will always come good. Happy Shooting my friends
