We were blessed with quite the show this fall while kayaking up a calm river in Idaho. We spotted a beautiful cow moose munching on willows by the river bank. We stopped our kayaks and watched her for a bit. She suddenly came darting out of the bushes and splashed into the river in front of us. We weren't quite sure what had spooked her until we saw the bull moose charge out of the bushes as well. The cow proceeded to swim across the river right in front of us as the bull chased after her. It was pretty unreal and a bit scary at times.
