I left the city with a fellow photog long before sunrise so that we could get to the mountains, and hike into this spot to watch the sun come up. There were lots of clouds as we parked, and we worried that we wouldn't get the shots we wanted, but for a brief few minutes, the skies opened up for us before another winter storm rolled in.
