Contemplative moment; a mother in thought! You may not have had the time for more shots, but here are some possible suggestions:
* Move the subject away from the from the shadows (toward the camera). Frame the image so that the top of the "bump" is the top of the image. Allow the planks to echo the shadows of the railing, with the shadow of the subject as a "perpendicular" complement to the horizontal lines. Deepen the darkness of the shadow of the subject, to make it bolder.
