This is a small lake in Park County, Colorado. We are blessed to have a small place on this lake and see this view when ever we are there.Time
This sky was created by the smoke lingering in the atmosphere from fires to the west of us. It had been a brutal summer of fires across the country and it would create spectacular sun sets. We face south west and the sun had just dipped below the horizon.Lighting
We had been boating on a near by large lake and as we pulled into our driveway the light changed to this gold. It was magical ...the entire area took on this glow. I grabbed my camera and started shooting. It only lasted a short time. All of the pictures were special...this one just captured the lake and the Puma Hills perfectly.Equipment

With digital pictures it makes it so much easier to capture just the right shot. When You had a roll of 24 pictures and each one cost to print ...I missed so many things that would have been great pictures. Now grabbing my camera and snapping pictures of a butterfly until I get it the way I want to remember it is just a matter of clicking the shutter. If i missed the shot ...delete is simple! "When in doubt...pull it our and start snapping things!"
