Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from my backyard at my home in Lakeland, FL. I am a self taught photographer with a lot to learn, I have finally found my purpose on this earth that gives my heart a true passion other than my family of course. You will notice my daughter in a lot of my studio images, I truely just can't get enough.

Time

This image was taken around 7am, I had just returned home from taking my daughter to the bus for school. When I returned I grabbed my camera and went outside to let my dog out and saw how beautiful the sun was reflecting off of the wet grass, I actually was almost laying down to capture this one.

Lighting

I loved the sun rising over the grass it was a soft buttery haze that made the water sparkle on the grass as if it were dancing look.

Equipment

Nikon D50 with a Prime 50mm, hand held, no flash

Inspiration

I am always looking for something beautiful to capture, Nature has a way of relaxing me. That is when I see and capture my best images.

Editing

Actually this was pretty much SOC, I might have cropped and straightened a little

In my camera bag

I have an older camera Nikon D50 with a Prime 50mm 1.8, I still love this camera it is very lightweight and does a great job. I also have a Canon EOS 5D with a Prime 50mm 1.8 and a 24-105mm for my studio portraits and I also use my iPhone 6 plus on some occasions.

Feedback

Early morning sunrise or you can probably even do a sunset after a nice rain or possibly dew on the ground, you will have to be at ground level and I had my camera at about a 45 degree angle to capture the nice Bokeh.
