Location
This photo was taken on a bush track heading to the beach near the town of Broome, in northern Western Australia.Time
Taken late morning. I was obviously walking behind these people and just decided it could make a good photo. So I snapped it.Lighting
The weather was superb and nothing special was needed to enhance the photo. It was all completely natural.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon PowerShot G12. Nothing extra was needed.Inspiration
Good question. As mentioned above, I was just walking behind these people, heading along this bush track toward the beach, when I decided to take the photo. It was completely spontaneous.Editing
No, none at all. But the shot has proved to be quite popular so, to me, it just proves that not a lot of 'extras' are always needed for good photography. In my camera bag
I have two cameras, both of which I always try to carry. Also several different lenses, small brushes and assorted cleaning equipment, extra lens lids and always a notepad and pen.Feedback
I would say patience is always good. But as mentioned above, this photo was taken spontaneously so I really do not have a lot of advice for anyone trying to capture something similar. But patience is always a virtue - sometimes having to wait in the same position for long time if you are trying to capture something - well, something to do with nature as I have always found. And being prepared to lie down and try to hide.
