Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Seattle Zoo.

Time

It was a cloudy day in Seattle, surprise, and we had one last big adventure before we left the city, this was taken right after our lunch.

Lighting

It was a cloudy day which was a perfect time to shoot, it was an outdoor enclosure, just natural light was used.

Equipment

This was shot with my Canon EOS 7D with the 18-55mm Lens.

Inspiration

I was from Minnesota and had never seen such a variety of birds. This Toucan struck the perfect pose.

Editing

I utilized a painting feature as a post processing step.

In my camera bag

As I was traveling from Minnesota for my trip to Seattle, I only carried my camera and the standard lens that came with it. I have several camera bags depending on how much I want to carry. The older I get the less I want to carry when shooting.

Feedback

Learn to shoot through fences and enclosures. Most important is to be present and have fun.
